Plant Engineer

Summary:

This role is responsible for leading maintenance operations and ensuring maximum equipment reliability, safety, and performance in a manufacturing environment. The position requires a hands-on leader with strong technical expertise, a commitment to continuous improvement, and the ability to drive a culture of operational excellence.

Responsibilities:

• Lead safety initiatives and ensure compliance with all environmental and safety regulations.
• Implement and maintain a reliability-centered maintenance strategy to improve uptime, OEE, and reduce costs.
• Oversee maintenance team performance, ensuring high standards of plant condition and equipment reliability.
• Identify skill gaps and support technical training and development for team members.
• Manage capital projects, departmental budgets, and drive technical improvements.
• Use root cause analysis tools (e.g., FMEA, 5 Whys) to resolve and prevent equipment failures.
• Collaborate with plant leadership to drive continuous improvement and meet operational goals.
• Support TPM and other continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Maintenance, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 3+ years leading a plant maintenance department or 5+ years in a supervisory manufacturing role.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA requirements and safety compliance.
• Proven leadership and team development capabilities.
• Proficient in root cause analysis and reliability tools.
• Solid understanding of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and predictive maintenance systems.
• Experience managing maintenance costs and optimizing operations.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and CMMS systems.
• Experience with TPM or reliability-focused programs preferred.
