Base Compensation: $100,000- $150,000 + 15% bonus + relocation assistance
Company Summary: One of the most rapidly expanding pulp/paper companies in the Charlotte Metro is searching to add a Process Automation Engineer with DCS experience to its team! In this role, you will have the opportunity to work out of one of the largest and most well- recognized paper mills in the country with a collaborative engineering team. You will be responsible for heading up a large scale DCS migration project and taking ownership of the site's Honeywell Experion DCS. As the Senior Process Controls Engineer, you will:
- Provide process control engineering and automation support to the manufacturing facility
- Take ownership over the site's DCS systems (maintaining, troubleshooting and upgrading).
- Develop and execute the maintenance related to systems automation to ensure that the facility is kept in an operational state.
- Execute control system configuration and monitoring, and HMI design
- Direct or assist capital engineering and process improvement projects.
- Provide automation system and facility expertise with regulatory agencies on audits etc.
- Apply engineering theory to establish root cause of equipment failures
- Perform equipment performance evaluations
Required Skills/Abilities:
- B.S in Electrical Engineering or Chemical Engineering - preferred
- Minimum 3 years of experience with process controls engineering or maintenance
- Paper & pulp/plastics, or chemical manufacturing experience
- Experience managing Distributed Control Systems (DCS) - preferred platforms are Honeywell Experion, TDC 3000 and ABB 800xA
- Knowledge of Allen-Bradley PLCs, implementation and management of SCADA, HMIs, FactoryTalk
