Production Manager - Night Shift

We are seeking an experienced Night Shift Production Manager to oversee all production operations during night shift hours. This role is responsible for leading teams, ensuring efficient production performance, maintaining compliance with food safety standards, and driving continuous improvement in a fast‑paced, high‑growth manufacturing environment.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on, people‑focused leader with strong manufacturing experience-preferably in food, beverage, or CPG-and a proven ability to maintain high standards across safety, quality, and productivity.

Key Responsibilities

Production Leadership & Execution

  • Oversee all night-shift production operations, ensuring daily schedules, throughput targets, and service levels are consistently met.
  • Direct, coach, and support production supervisors, leads, and hourly team members.
  • Ensure proper staffing, line efficiency, and workflow across all manufacturing areas.
  • Coordinate with maintenance and quality teams to minimize downtime and ensure smooth production handoffs.

Safety, Quality & Compliance

  • Uphold and enforce all food safety, GMP, HACCP, and regulatory requirements.
  • Foster a strong safety culture and ensure night-shift compliance with all safety policies and procedures.
  • Respond to quality issues in real time, partnering closely with QA to resolve deviations and prevent recurrence.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Operations, Manufacturing, Food Science, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of manufacturing experience, preferably in food, beverage, or CPG.
  • 2+ years of leadership experience overseeing teams in a production environment.
  • Strong understanding of GMPs, food safety regulations, and manufacturing best practices.
  • Demonstrated success driving safety, quality, and efficiency improvements.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem‑solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in nutrition bar, confectionery, bakery, or high‑speed packaging operations.
  • Background with Lean/CI methodologies, Six Sigma, or similar frameworks.
  • Experience managing large hourly teams on a night or off-shift schedule.
