Production Supervisor
The Production Supervisor provides leadership and direction for shift operations. This role is responsible for driving safety, quality, and productivity across the converting department. The Production Supervisor leads a team of hourly employees, ensuring operational excellence, continuous improvement, and alignment with business goals and customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead shift operations in compliance with safety, health, environmental, and quality standards.
- Promote a culture of safety by encouraging employee involvement, identifying hazards, and implementing corrective actions.
- Coach, train, and develop team members in safety practices, quality standards, and production processes.
- Ensure efficient production by minimizing waste and optimizing machine center performance.
- Collaborate with other departments to resolve issues and ensure on-time, high-quality output.
- Plan, assign, and direct work for hourly employees; evaluate performance, provide feedback, and address concerns as needed.
- Communicate daily production results, challenges, and priorities to team members and leadership.
- Support and lead transformation initiatives to improve operational efficiency and team engagement.
Requirements:
- Experience in the corrugated packaging or containerboard industry, specifically in converting or corrugator operations.
- Previous supervisory experience in a manufacturing, production, industrial, or military environment.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
