Overview
Lead the development and execution of quality systems for ingredient and supplier qualification, ensuring compliance with regulatory and company standards. Manage documentation platforms, supplier audits, and data integrity while driving continuous improvement and cross-functional collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and maintain qualification processes for suppliers and ingredients to ensure compliance, reduce risk, and support operational excellence.
- Administer and optimize quality systems and databases (e.g., TraceGains, SAP), ensuring accurate documentation and timely updates.
- Oversee supplier audits and certifications, including HACCP and GFSI, and lead corrective action plans to address non-compliance.
- Collaborate with R&D, Procurement, and Operations to ensure smooth product launches and manage ingredient change control processes.
- Monitor and report key performance indicators (KPIs) for supplier and ingredient quality, presenting findings to leadership and driving improvements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Food Science or related field.
- 3+ years in food manufacturing or quality systems, with leadership experience.
- Strong knowledge of FSMA, FDA, HACCP, SQF, and related regulations.
- Experience with quality systems software and ERP platforms.
- Excellent project management and communication skills.
Physical Requirements: On-site role; ability to navigate production areas and lift up to 15 lbs.
