Quality Engineer
Job Summary:
The Quality Engineer supports the development, implementation, and maintenance of quality systems and processes to ensure that machinery and equipment products meet internal standards and customer requirements. This role involves hands-on inspection, data analysis, and collaboration with engineering and production teams to identify and resolve quality issues, improve manufacturing processes, and ensure compliance with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct inspections and testing of components and finished products to verify conformance to specifications.
- Assist in root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA) for product and process non-conformances.
- Support internal and external audits; maintain documentation for quality procedures and standards.
- Analyze quality data and metrics to identify trends and recommend improvements.
- Collaborate with design and manufacturing teams to ensure quality is integrated into product development and production.
- Develop and update inspection plans, control plans, and work instructions.
- Utilize quality tools such as FMEA, SPC, and 8D problem-solving methodologies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
- 2-5 years of experience in quality engineering within machinery or equipment manufacturing.
- Familiarity with mechanical systems, tolerances, and manufacturing processes.
- Working knowledge of ISO 9001 and other relevant quality standards.
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
