Location: Northeast or Midwest U.S. (Remote)

Travel: ~75%

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Regional Sales Manager to drive revenue growth for our discrete semiconductor product portfolio across the Northeast or Midwest regions. In this role, you will manage key customer relationships, develop new business opportunities, collaborate with channel partners, and execute strategic sales initiatives. The ideal candidate brings strong technical knowledge of discrete components and a proven track record of achieving sales targets in the semiconductor industry.

This role requires extensive travel (approximately 75%) to engage with customers, channel partners, and distributor locations throughout the assigned territory.

Key Responsibilities

Territory & Account Management

  • Manage and grow sales across the Northeast or Midwest region, focusing on OEMs, EMS providers, and distribution partners.
  • Develop territory strategies to expand market share and maximize revenue from discrete semiconductor products.
  • Maintain a robust sales pipeline and regularly deliver accurate forecasts.

Customer Engagement

  • Lead regular onsite meetings with engineering, purchasing, and program teams to identify opportunities and drive design‑ins.
  • Provide product recommendations and technical guidance related to discrete devices (e.g., MOSFETs, IGBTs, rectifiers, diodes, transistors, modules).
  • Deliver product presentations and coordinate technical deep‑dives with internal application engineering teams.

Channel / Distributor Management

  • Build strong relationships with authorized distributors and manufacturers' reps to ensure alignment on sales goals.
  • Train distributor sales teams on new products, roadmaps, and positioning.
  • Monitor POS/POR activity and develop programs to drive growth through distribution.

Strategic Sales Execution

  • Analyze market trends, competitive dynamics, and customer requirements to influence product positioning and strategy.
  • Collaborate with marketing, product management, and engineering to support new product launches and promotional campaigns.
  • Negotiate pricing, contracts, and long-term supply agreements within company guidelines.

Reporting & Collaboration

  • Provide timely reporting on activities, market insights, and competitive intelligence.
  • Work cross‑functionally with internal teams to ensure customer success and resolve issues related to samples, lead times, logistics, or quality.

Qualifications

Required

  • 5+ years of sales experience in the semiconductor industry, preferably with discrete products.
  • Strong understanding of discrete component fundamentals and applications (power electronics, automotive, industrial, consumer, computing, etc.).
  • Proven ability to achieve revenue targets and manage a large geographic territory.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship‑building skills.
  • Ability to travel up to 75% within the region.
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Business, or related field (EE preferred).

Preferred

  • Experience selling through distribution and rep networks.
  • Familiarity with CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce).
  • Existing relationships with OEMs, design houses, and distributors in the Northeast or Midwest.
