We are seeking an experienced Sales Manager to join a mid-sized international logistics provider. This role offers the opportunity to drive commercial growth within a dynamic organisation that delivers end-to-end supply chain solutions across Europe and beyond.

About the Role

The Sales Manager will be responsible for direct management of around 4FTE, developing new business opportunities, managing key accounts, and implementing strategies to achieve revenue targets. The position requires a strong commercial mindset, excellent relationship-building skills, and a deep understanding of international freight forwarding and European transport networks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Guide and coach junior sales members.
  • Identify and secure new business opportunities within the logistics and supply chain sector.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Prepare and deliver proposals, tenders, and pricing strategies for prospective customers.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to design tailored solutions for clients, including road, ocean, and intermodal services.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activity to inform strategic decisions.
  • Achieve agreed sales targets and contribute to overall business growth.
  • Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and client meetings.

Skills and Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in sales within logistics, freight forwarding, or transport services, with at least a year of managing people included.
  • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong knowledge of European road transport and international ocean freight solutions.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Commercially driven with a proactive approach to business development.
  • Fluency in English; additional European languages are an advantage.
