Senior Maintenance Manager

What You'll Do
Reporting to the Director of Engineering & Maintenance, you'll oversee all maintenance operations, including people, equipment, planning, and performance. Your responsibilities will include:
- Guiding and developing supervisors, technicians, planners, and buyers
- Managing the maintenance budget and aligning spending with organizational priorities
- Reducing equipment downtime through preventative and predictive maintenance strategies
- Stepping in hands-on during key equipment start-ups or critical issues
- Creating annual rebuild plans and supporting capital improvement initiatives
- Ensuring compliance with safety standards such as LOTO, electrical safety, confined space, and fall protection
- Managing CMMS utilization for assets, work orders, labor tracking, and spare parts
- Working closely with Reliability, Automation, and Facilities partners to troubleshoot and optimize systems
- Driving 5S practices for a clean, organized, and audit-ready workspace
- Shaping training programs that strengthen mechanic capability and support new hires
- Using root cause analysis to eliminate recurring mechanical issues
- Setting clear expectations and promoting continuous improvement across all shifts
Who You Are
You're someone who leads by example, moves comfortably between the shop floor and office, and relies on data to guide decisions. Your background includes:
- 7+ years of maintenance leadership experience, ideally in manufacturing
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Strong understanding of PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, servo motors, and industrial controls
- Experience working with CMMS systems and data-focused maintenance programs
- Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, GMPs, SQF, and food-production standards
- A track record of lean manufacturing success and process improvement
- Strong problem-solving, planning, and communication abilities
- Experience applying root cause analysis to prevent repeat failures
Work Environment & Requirements
- Comfortable working in both cold and ambient-temperature environments
- Ability to lift or move materials weighing 25-50 lbs
- Willingness to support multiple shifts when operational needs arise
