A reputable aerospace and defense company is seeking an experienced, hands-on Senior Manufacturing Engineer for their North New Jersey facility
Responsibilities:
The ideal Senior Manufacturing Engineer will have the following responsibilities:
- Develop and implement efficient production methods, including cell layouts, routers, and build books for both new builds and overhaul/repair operations
- Lead efforts in acquiring and integrating new equipment and tooling for manufacturing improvements
- Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues, support test failure analysis, and participate in acceptance testing
- Review engineering drawings for manufacturing and write engineering change orders as needed
- Build and maintain manufacturing BOMs, create test plans, and write detailed test reports
- Conduct audits and support qualification testing (vibration, thermal, environmental, etc.) for new products
Qualifications
The ideal Senior Manufacturing Engineer will have the following skill set:
- Bachelor's in Engineering (Electrical or Mechanical preferred)
- 2+ years of mechanical or electromechanical experience (hydraulics a plus)
- Proficiency in CREO or similar CAD tools
- Experience with troubleshooting, machine shop environments, and inspection
- Familiarity with AS9100 standards
- Background in aerospace, medical, or automotive industries preferred
