They are currently expanding the mechanical team to support the design and development of new advanced HVAC&R equipment for commercial, industrial, and specialized applications.

This is an opportunity to join a team that builds custom‑engineered heat transfer, refrigeration, and air‑handling systems used in a variety of environments - with strong organizational investment in innovation, new product development, and market expansion.

Relocation assistance is available for this position.

Due to confidentiality of some of these products, must be a US Citizen.

Key Responsibilities:

In this role, you will be involved in full‑cycle mechanical design, including:

  • Creating and refining mechanical designs for heat exchangers, air‑conditioning systems, refrigeration equipment, and air‑handling units using 2D and 3D CAD tools (e.g., Creo, AutoCAD).
  • Performing component sizing, selection, and system performance analysis.
  • Provide budget, cost, and schedule input in order to drive new product development projects.
  • Perform hands-on support of prototype fabrication, assembly, and product testing.
  • Reviewing customer requirements and developing compliant, high‑quality product designs.
  • Coordinating with suppliers and evaluating components, subsystems, and services.
  • Producing detailed engineering drawings, BOMs, and manufacturing documentation.
  • Supporting prototype builds, testing, qualification activities, and production release.
  • Assisting with cost estimates, schedules, and proposal inputs.
  • Providing hands‑on engineering support to cross‑functional teams, including manufacturing and testing.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and 2-10 years of relevant experience (depending on level of position).
  • Experience designing mechanical components or equipment - ideally in HVAC&R, thermal systems, or related mechanical assemblies (sheet metal, welded structures, machined parts).
  • Proficiency with CAD modeling and drafting; familiarity with ASME drawing standards.
  • Strong documentation, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Comfortable working independently while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.

Additional Desired Qualifications

  • Experience using PTC Creo (including sheet metal and assemblies).
  • Experience with Windchill or similar PDM/PLM platforms.
  • Familiarity with FEA or CFD tools.
