This opportunity is based at a key manufacturing facility in Memphis, where you'll have the chance to lead site-wide process safety initiatives, influence operational strategy, and partner closely with engineering, operations, and leadership teams. What you'll be doing:
* Leading and continuously improving the site's Process Safety Management (PSM) program
* Facilitating PHAs, HAZOPs, LOPAs, and other process hazard analyses to identify and reduce risk
* Serving as the site's subject matter expert for process safety and regulatory compliance
* Supporting Management of Change (MOC) activities, plant modifications, and capital projects
* Conducting risk assessments and driving implementation of inherently safer designs
* Leading root cause investigations for process safety incidents and ensuring corrective actions are implemented
* Developing and tracking process safety metrics to drive continuous improvement
* Coaching and training site personnel to strengthen process safety ownership and culture
What they're looking for:
* Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related technical field
* 7-10+ years of process safety experience within chemical manufacturing
* Strong knowledge of OSHA PSM, EPA RMP, HAZOP, LOPA, and risk assessment methodologies
* Experience supporting batch processing, specialty chemicals, or reactive chemical operations preferred
* Familiarity with process safety risk modeling tools such as PHAST, ALOHA, or similar software
* Professional certifications such as CCPSC or PE are highly desirable
