Senior Program Manager
DSJ Global is currently partnering with a technology company within the aerospace and defense sector in order to identify a candidate for a Sr. Program Manager to be based in northern New Jersey.
This individual will be responsible for leading multiple high-impact programs, with a focus on new product development and production. In this customer-facing role, you'll oversee the full program lifecycle-from concept through delivery and in-service support-ensuring both technical excellence and customer satisfaction. You'll guide cross-functional teams across contracts, planning, finance, operations, and engineering to deliver cutting-edge signal technology solutions. You will directly contribute to mission-critical defense applications with innovative, high-performance systems. Job Responsibilities:
- Lead the planning and execution of customer and internal programs, ensuring alignment with scope, schedule, budget, and quality standards.
- Manage program risks and opportunities, implementing mitigation strategies and escalating issues as needed to maintain performance.
- Serve as the primary customer contact, driving satisfaction through proactive problem-solving, in-service support, and effective communication.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams and resources across engineering, operations, and business development to ensure successful program delivery.
- Oversee proposal development for RFPs, including schedules, cost estimates, compliance documentation, and bid materials.
- Monitor program performance through KPIs and regular reporting to leadership, ensuring financial targets and P&L goals are met or exceeded.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives, subcontractor management, and internal audits to enhance program execution and organizational efficiency.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or a related field.
- 5+ years of relevant technical experience.
- Experienced leading technical projects within Aerospace & Defense, or Satellite Communications Industry experience.
- Must be a strong communicator, as this is a client-facing and cross-functional position.
- This position requires you to have or obtain a government security clearance.
