Position Overview

We are seeking a Senior Quality Engineer to join our growing team and play a critical role in driving quality excellence across manufacturing and product development initiatives. This individual will serve as a key quality leader, supporting New Product Introduction (NPI) activities, process improvements, supplier quality initiatives, and continuous improvement efforts to ensure products meet customer, regulatory, and operational requirements.

The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in manufacturing quality systems, proven experience supporting product launches, and a passion for driving sustainable quality improvements through data-driven decision making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead quality activities associated with New Product Introduction (NPI) projects, ensuring successful transition from development to production.
  • Develop and implement quality plans, control plans, inspection strategies, and risk mitigation activities for new and existing products.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Operations, Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Customers to resolve quality concerns and improve product performance.
  • Conduct root cause investigations using structured problem-solving methodologies and implement effective corrective and preventive actions.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives utilizing Lean, Six Sigma, and statistical analysis tools.
  • Monitor key quality metrics and identify opportunities to improve process capability, product reliability, and customer satisfaction.
  • Support internal and external audits and ensure compliance with applicable quality standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to evaluate performance, resolve quality issues, and improve incoming material quality.
  • Perform process validations, capability studies, FMEA reviews, and quality risk assessments.
  • Mentor junior quality professionals and support the development of best practices across the organization.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business, or a related technical discipline.
  • 6+ years of Quality Engineering experience within a manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting New Product Introduction (NPI) and product launch activities.
  • Strong knowledge of quality tools such as:
    • Root Cause Analysis
    • CAPA
    • FMEA
    • SPC
    • Control Plans
    • Process Capability Studies
    • 8D Problem Solving
  • Experience working within ISO-compliant quality systems and manufacturing operations.
  • Excellent communication, project management, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Ability to analyze complex data sets and drive actionable improvements.

Preferred

  • Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Certification
  • Experience leading continuous improvement initiatives that deliver measurable operational results.
  • Experience with supplier quality, customer quality, and advanced quality planning methodologies.
  • ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or similar certification.

  • Improved process capability and reduction in defects, scrap, and rework.
  • Effective implementation of corrective actions that prevent recurrence of quality issues.
