Position: Sourcing Specialist
Location
On‑site at one of the division's U.S. facilities (with flexibility dependent on the business unit).
Role Overview
The Sourcing Specialist plays a central role in ensuring the division has the materials, components, and supplier relationships needed to support both new product development and ongoing production. In this environment, supply chain performance is directly tied to quality, delivery, profitability, and customer satisfaction-so this role has a clear line of sight to business impact.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic Sourcing & Cost Management
- Source materials, engineered components, and filtration‑related products to support manufacturing and aftermarket operations.
- Lead RFQs, conduct competitive bids, analyze quotations, and negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts.
- Identify cost‑reduction opportunities and value‑engineering alternatives.
Supplier Development & Performance
- Evaluate and qualify suppliers based on quality, capability, cost, and delivery criteria.
- Strengthen supplier performance through regular reviews, corrective actions, and partnership development.
- Support initiatives related to reliability, lead time reduction, and supply continuity.
Cross‑Functional Collaboration
- Partner with engineering, operations, quality, and product management on new programs and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support new product introductions by ensuring suppliers meet technical and timing requirements.
- Work closely with manufacturing teams to solve material issues and reduce disruptions.
Data, Systems & Reporting
- Maintain accurate purchasing data within ERP and sourcing systems.
- Track supplier KPIs, cost improvement initiatives, and risk assessments.
- Provide visibility into sourcing plans, opportunities, and challenges.
Requirements
Experience
- 2-5+ years in sourcing, procurement, supply chain, or materials management within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Experience with technical products, engineered components, or filtration technologies is a plus.
- Familiarity with structured operating systems, continuous improvement, or Lean concepts is beneficial.
