Sr. Buyer, Metal Components
SUMMARY
We are seeking an experienced Senior Buyer, Metal Components to support local manufacturing and project delivery through effective sourcing, supplier management, and procurement execution. This role partners closely with operations, engineering, and supply planning to ensure critical materials and services are sourced competitively and delivered on time.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Strong reporting capabilities and analysis with daily, weekly and monthly updates as required to drive Supplier performance.
- Drives sourcing competitiveness for existing and standard parts
- Ensure the supplier quotes validity from Bids to Project
- Provides support in Supplier issues once escalated.
- Ensure RFI/RFP/RFQ process implementation/execution for relevant local procurement commodity/category in alignment with procurement internal processes and procedures
- Ensure single point of contact and accomplishment of the technical and commercial clarification to/from Suppliers and interface with relevant business functions
- Ensure the issuing of evaluation report on Supplier Proposals collecting inputs from the relevant business function (proposal assessment/review)
- Ensure execution of Commercial Negotiations according to Procurement rules
- Ensure the definition and preparation of PO/Final contract documentation for relevant local procurement commodity/category in alignment with procurement internal processes and procedures
- Ensure the execution of all procurement actions required by Variation Requests (scope and specification changes, scope creeps, claims etc.) in alignment with Company processes and guidelines
- Support the implementation of Procurement Process in accordance with Company rules and policies at local level
- Ensure, according to the supply plan/project schedule and inputs received by SP, the implementation of all the procurement activities for relevant local commodity/category
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- 3-5 years of buyer or procurement experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience sourcing custom sheet metal, fabricated, or stamped components
- Strong Excel skills and comfort with cost analysis and reporting
- Working knowledge of MRP/ERP systems
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced, production-driven environment
- Willingness to travel up to 25%
