Supply Chain Coordinator
Job Summary:
Our client is looking for a highly organized and detail-driven Supply Chain Coordinator with a strong focus on logistics to support manufacturing operations. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth and timely flow of raw materials and finished goods across our supply chain, optimizing transportation, and supporting production schedules.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate inbound logistics for raw materials and components to support production schedules.
- Knowledge of customs duties
- Manage outbound logistics for finished goods, ensuring on-time delivery to customers and distribution centers.
- Collaborate with production planning, procurement, and warehouse teams to align logistics with manufacturing needs.
- Monitor and track shipments, proactively resolving delays or issues with carriers and suppliers.
- Maintain accurate shipping and receiving documentation, including bills of lading, customs paperwork, and inventory records.
- Work closely with third-party logistics providers (3PLs) and freight forwarders to optimize transportation costs and service levels.
- Analyze logistics performance metrics and identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards related to transportation and logistics.
- Support ERP and logistics system updates and data integrity.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in logistics or supply chain coordination within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of transportation, warehousing, and inventory management.
- Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and logistics software (e.g., TMS).
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with international logistics and customs compliance.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing or Six Sigma principles.
