Title: Director, Supply Chain
Compensation: $150,000 - $190,000 base salary
Location: Oklahoma or Colorado (multi-site leadership required)
Summary
The Director of Supply Chain is responsible for leading and managing all supply chain functions across two manufacturing sites, including purchasing, logistics, inventory, and warehouse operations. This role provides strategic and operational leadership to ensure material availability, supplier performance, and cost efficiency. The Director oversees approximately $50M in annual material and outside service spend and is accountable for developing sourcing strategies that reduce risk, lower costs, and ensure a reliable supply base. This position partners with cross-functional teams to align supply chain operations with business goals, customer requirements, and regulatory standards.
Responsibilities
- Lead supply chain functions across multiple sites, including purchasing, logistics, inventory, and warehouse operations.
- Develop and implement sourcing strategies that reduce supplier risk, lower total cost of ownership, and enhance supply chain resilience.
- Manage $50M in annual material and outside service spend, ensuring cost control and supplier accountability.
- Oversee supplier management and compliance with AS9100, NADCAP, and customer contractual requirements.
- Align supply chain operations with SIOP planning, production schedules, and aftermarket programs.
- Direct logistics strategy, including transportation, import/export compliance, and optimization of material flow.
- Oversee inventory control and warehouse operations to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Negotiate supplier agreements and drive cost-reduction initiatives while maintaining quality and performance standards.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to the supply chain team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Support business growth initiatives, including M&A activity and new product introductions.
- Implement ERP and digital tools to enhance supply chain visibility and decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with legal, contractual, and regulatory requirements, including ITAR and DFARS.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, engineering, or related field.
- 10+ years of progressive supply chain leadership in aerospace, automotive, or similar manufacturing environments.
- Experience managing multi-site supply chain operations.
- Proven success in leading SIOP/S&OP processes.
- Strong background in supplier negotiations, risk management, and strategic sourcing.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and data analytics.
Preferred:
- MBA or Master's in Supply Chain or Engineering.
- Experience with M&A integration in aerospace or related industries.
- Professional certifications (e.g., CPIM, CSCP, APICS).
- Training in Lean, Six Sigma, or TQM methodologies.
