Position Overview:
My client is seeking a strategic and results-driven Director of Industrialisation to lead the industrialisation function at their Kassel facility. This role is pivotal in bridging product development and full-scale manufacturing, ensuring seamless integration of new products and technologies into production. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in manufacturing processes, lean principles, and cross-functional leadership within the transportation or heavy industry sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership:
Develop and execute the industrialisation strategy aligned with company goals, ensuring readiness for new product introductions and process innovations.Project Management:
Lead cross-functional industrialisation projects from concept to production, including planning, budgeting, resource allocation, and risk management.Process Development & Optimisation:
Define and implement scalable, efficient manufacturing processes. Drive continuous improvement initiatives using lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.Technology Integration:
Collaborate with R&D, engineering, and production teams to ensure manufacturability of new designs and integration of advanced manufacturing technologies (e.g., automation, digital twins, Industry 4.0).Supplier & Equipment Readiness:
Oversee the industrial readiness of suppliers and capital equipment, ensuring compliance with quality, cost, and delivery targets.Team Leadership:
Build and lead a high-performing industrialisation team. Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and operational excellence.Compliance & Standards:
Ensure all industrialisation activities comply with relevant safety, environmental, and quality standards (e.g., ISO, IATF).
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in industrialisation, manufacturing engineering, or operations within the transportation or heavy manufacturing industry.
- Proven track record of leading complex industrialisation projects and cross-functional teams.
- Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and digital manufacturing technologies.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
- Fluent in English; German language skills are a strong advantage.
