Supply Chain Project Manager, Capital Construction

***This role can be remote, but candidates must be flexible on travel, including occasional short-notice travel to customer sites.***

POSITION SUMMARY

This role leads end-to-end project management and supply chain execution for large-scale, customer facing capital infrastructure projects during preconstruction phases. This role owns procurement strategy, manufacturing coordination, supplier management, logistics execution, and project delivery planning to ensure engineered equipment and services are delivered on time, on budget, and aligned with customer construction schedules. Partnering closely with Engineering, Program Management, Operations, Manufacturing, and external suppliers, you will develop and execute supply chain strategies that ensure complex engineered systems are sourced, built, delivered, and installation-ready in alignment with customer schedules, project budgets, and contractual commitments.

This position serves as the primary owner of supply chain execution throughout the project lifecycle and is responsible for managing project risks, driving cross-functional accountability, maintaining schedule integrity, and ensuring successful project delivery in alignment with customer requirements.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Project Leadership & Execution

  • Lead end-to-end supply chain execution for complex capital infrastructure projects from project kickoff through delivery, installation readiness, and customer handoff.
  • Lead preconstruction planning activities including procurement strategy development, long-lead equipment planning, project scheduling, manufacturing readiness, delivery planning, and risk mitigation to support successful project execution.
  • Own project-level supply chain performance including cost, schedule, budget, risk mitigation, supplier performance, manufacturing execution, and delivery milestones.
  • Develop and maintain detailed execution plans aligned with customer schedules and project objectives.
  • Identify project risks, develop mitigation strategies, and proactively resolve issues that could impact cost, quality, schedule, or customer commitments.
  • Provide regular project status updates to leadership, customers, and cross-functional stakeholders.

Procurement & Sourcing Strategy

  • Define and execute project sourcing strategies, including supplier selection, contract negotiations, make-versus-buy decisions, and procurement planning.
  • Lead supplier engagement and commercial discussions in partnership with procurement and commodity management teams.
  • Manage procurement activities for equipment, materials, and services required to support project execution.
  • Ensure purchase orders, contracts, and supplier commitments are aligned with project schedules and delivery requirements.

Manufacturing & Capacity Planning

  • Develop manufacturing strategies that support project requirements, including internal production, contract manufacturing, and factory allocation decisions.
  • Coordinate manufacturing activities across internal operations and third-party production partners.
  • Manage production schedules, capacity planning, and manufacturing readiness to support critical project milestones.
  • Monitor manufacturing progress and drive resolution of supply, quality, or capacity constraints that could impact project delivery.

Logistics & Delivery Management

  • Oversee logistics planning, transportation strategy, and site delivery execution.
  • Coordinate the movement of large capital equipment and engineered systems to ensure alignment with installation schedules and site readiness requirements.
  • Ensure appropriate sequencing of equipment deliveries to support customer construction and commissioning activities.
  • Track logistics milestones and proactively manage transportation, delivery, and site access risks.

Cross Functional Leadership

  • Serve as the primary interface between Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, Procurement, Logistics, Project Management, customers, and external suppliers.
  • Translate engineering requirements and Bills of Material into executable sourcing, manufacturing, and delivery plans.
  • Support project budgeting, forecasting, and cost estimating activities.
  • Participate in customer meetings and provide updates regarding supply chain execution, delivery readiness, project risks, and mitigation plans.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Construction Management, Business, Operations, or a related discipline.
  • 7+ years of progressive experience in project management, supply chain, procurement, manufacturing, construction, or related fields.
  • PMP Certification is a plus
  • Experience owning cost, schedule, budget, and delivery performance for complex, customer-facing projects.
  • Strong background in project procurement, supplier management, manufacturing coordination, and logistics execution.
  • Experience supporting capital projects, industrial facilities, mission-critical infrastructure, data centers, power infrastructure, engineered-to-order products, or large-scale construction programs.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple project stakeholders.
  • Experience working with engineering teams, Bills of Material (BOMs), project costing, and schedule management.
  • Ability to identify project risks, drive accountability, and deliver projects against aggressive timelines.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 25-50%.
