Job Description:
The Technical Support Manager leads a team responsible for providing expert technical assistance to internal teams and external customers within the chemical manufacturing space. This role ensures timely resolution of product-related issues, supports process optimization, and contributes to customer satisfaction and retention. The manager collaborates closely with R&D, production, quality, and sales teams to deliver technical solutions and drive continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and mentor a team of technical support engineers and specialists.
  • Provide advanced troubleshooting and technical guidance on chemical products and processes.
  • Interface with customers to resolve product performance issues and support application development.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing and R&D to address quality concerns and implement corrective actions.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, FAQs, and training materials.
  • Monitor support metrics and drive initiatives to improve response times and service quality.
  • Stay current with industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of technical support or process engineering experience in chemical manufacturing.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with chemical safety standards, regulatory compliance, and quality systems.
  • Experience with CRM or support ticketing systems is a plus.
