Unit Maintenance Manager
As the Maintenance Unit Manager, you will be responsible for leading all maintenance and reliability activities within the unit, ensuring safe operations, asset integrity, and optimal equipment performance. This role oversees preventive and predictive maintenance strategies, manages short- and long-term planning, and drives continuous improvement initiatives.
The manager partners closely with Operations, Reliability, Procurement, and Engineering to manage asset risks, optimize spare parts inventory, and ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards. Additional responsibilities include budget management, contractor oversight, root cause analysis, and promoting a collaborative, performance-driven team culture.
Responsibilities:
- Establish and maintain safe work practices and environmental compliance
- Execute short- and long-term maintenance planning, scheduling, and continuous improvement activities
- Analyze Key Performance Indicators to identify deviations and initiate corrective actions
- Manage asset risk with the reliability team and ensure condition-based monitoring compliance
- Develop and manage the unit maintenance budget
- Drive cost awareness, control, and improvement of maintenance practices
- Use SAP other systems to support maintenance activities
- Facilitate root cause problem elimination sessions
- Oversee contractor safety, quality, and schedule execution
- Partner with contractor leaders and site leadership to manage labor resources
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Reliability preferred (CMRP desirable)
- 5+ years in maintenance and reliability
- Experience managing maintenance in a manufacturing environment, including utilities equipment (steam turbine generators, compressors, gas boiler systems)
- Experience in preventative maintenance, condition-based monitoring, and root cause analysis
- Knowledge of SAP for maintenance and budgeting
