Overview
A leading food manufacturer is seeking a Production Supervisor to oversee one production line per shift in a lean environment. This role is responsible for safety, quality, productivity, and ensuring all products meet regulatory and internal standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and develop production teams to meet targets
- Manage staffing and schedules to maximize efficiency
- Drive continuous improvement using root cause analysis and lean methods
- Improve equipment reliability, reduce downtime, and increase throughput
- Ensure compliance with safety, food safety, and quality standards
- Oversee training, maintain records, and identify development needs
- Evaluate performance and manage corrective actions
- Conduct team meetings and ensure accurate documentation
- Collaborate with operations, maintenance, and quality teams
- Support hiring and onboarding efforts
- Bachelor's degree (Engineering preferred) and 2+ years supervisory experience in food processing, or 3+ years in food manufacturing supervision
- Strong leadership, communication, and team-building skills
- Proven analytical and problem-solving ability
- Lean manufacturing experience preferred
- Proficiency with standard computer systems
