This client is an international freight forwarder with a strong global presence and a reputation for delivering tailored logistics solutions across air, sea, and road. As part of their continued growth in France, they are seeking a highly capable and commercially minded Branch Director to lead their Paris operation.

The Opportunity:

This is a key leadership role within this companies European network. The Branch Director - Paris will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the branch's performance, with a particular focus on air freight operations. The successful candidate will bring strong operational expertise, a deep understanding of the freight forwarding industry, and a proven ability to drive commercial success.

Experience in general cargo and the aerospace vertical will be highly beneficial, as will the ability to lead and inspire a team in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Paris branch team, ensuring high standards of performance across operations, sales, and customer service.
  • Oversee and optimise air freight activities, ensuring compliance with international and local regulations.
  • Support the handling of general cargo and aerospace shipments, applying sound operational knowledge.
  • Drive commercial growth by supporting business development and identifying new opportunities in the region.
  • Negotiate directly with air freight carriers and cargo handling partners to secure competitive rates and service levels.
  • Manage the branch P&L, ensuring financial targets are met and operational efficiency is maintained.
  • Foster a positive, collaborative, and accountable team culture.

What We're Looking For:

  • Significant experience in freight forwarding, with a strong focus on air freight.
  • Previous leadership experience in a branch or regional management role.
  • Exposure to general cargo and aerospace logistics is highly desirable.
  • Fluent in French and English (both written and spoken).
  • Strong commercial mindset with a hands-on approach to business development.
  • Excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
  • A confident, people-focused leader with the ability to build and develop high-performing teams.
