Key Responsibilities:
- Manage material replenishment and build shipments from various supplier locations, considering lead times, order quantities, storage, and shelf life.
- Determine optimal order quantities to balance demand with available storage and financial constraints.
- Oversee reverse logistics in collaboration with internal teams when material issues arise.
- Ensure compliance with volume, pricing, delivery terms, and freight cost agreements.
- Respond quickly to material-related issues, demonstrating strong crisis management and multitasking skills.
- Lead supplier business reviews to drive performance improvements.
- Contribute to strategic sourcing efforts, including documentation, regulatory compliance, sample evaluation, and financial assessments.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to deliver value across the organization.
Requirements:
- On-site availability required (location: Marlborough, MA).
- Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects in a dynamic environment.
- Proven ability to build collaborative relationships with cross-functional teams, especially plant operations.
- Experience in supplier performance management and continuous improvement.
- Ability to mentor and support junior purchasing staff.
- Experience in food manufacturing procurement is a plus.
- Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., Syspro) is a plus.
