Continuous Improvement Manager

A mid-size Manufacturing company is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Continuous Improvement (CI) Manager to lead operational excellence initiatives across our manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Lean Manufacturing, possess a Green or Black Belt certification, and bring hands-on experience from the appliance, automotive, or machinery industries. This role will be instrumental in driving Kaizen events, implementing OPEX tools, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and facilitate Kaizen events, value stream mapping, and other Lean activities to improve operational efficiency.
  • Develop and implement Operational Excellence (OPEX) strategies aligned with business goals.
  • Identify and execute cost reduction, waste elimination, and process optimization initiatives.
  • Coach and mentor cross-functional teams on Lean principles, Six Sigma methodologies, and CI tools.
  • Monitor and report on CI project progress, KPIs, and ROI.
  • Collaborate with engineering, production, quality, and supply chain teams to ensure sustainable improvements.
  • Champion a culture of continuous improvement and employee engagement.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or related field; Master's preferred.
  • Lean Manufacturing expertise with Green Belt or Black Belt certification (Six Sigma).
  • Minimum of 5 years of CI experience in appliance, automotive, or machinery manufacturing.
  • Proven track record of leading successful Kaizen events and deploying OPEX tools.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with tools such as 5S, TPM, SMED, A3 Thinking, PDCA, DMAIC.
  • Familiarity with digital CI tools and data analytics platforms.
  • Change management and stakeholder engagement experience.
