Design Engineer
DSJ Global is currently partnered with a Global Aftermarket Automotive Company. This role will focus on the end-to-end development of advanced fuel injector technologies, ensuring performance, reliability, and manufacturability across diverse vehicle platforms. The successful candidate will lead validation efforts, refine testing methodologies, and collaborate across engineering, production, and customer-facing teams to deliver cutting-edge solutions for global mobility markets.
Core Responsibilities
- Spearhead the design and launch of high-performance fuel injectors, from initial concept through full-scale production.
- Develop and execute rigorous testing protocols to validate spray characteristics, flow rates, and system durability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align product specifications with manufacturing capabilities and customer requirements.
- Create and maintain detailed engineering documentation, including CAD models, technical drawings, and performance benchmarks.
- Lead efforts to standardize testing methodologies across internal and external labs, ensuring consistency and OEM alignment.
- Provide technical leadership in root cause analysis and corrective action planning for product performance issues.
- Support global application engineering teams with design customization and integration support for OEM and aftermarket programs.
Required Experience & Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in design
- Proficiency in 3D CAD software (Creo preferred) and tolerance stack-up analysis.
- Familiarity with automotive quality systems including DFMEA, APQP, and PPAP.
- Excellent communication and project coordination skills across engineering and manufacturing teams.
