Director of Operations
One of our clients in the Aerospace Chemical Manufacturing industry is looking for a Director of Operations based out of Arlington, TX. This person will lead facility operations to optimize processes, ensure efficiency and safety, and drive strategic growth across distribution, manufacturing, and repackaging functions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor supervisors and department heads, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and fostering collaboration.
- Develop and execute operational plans, allocate resources, and drive activities that support business objectives.
- Oversee site operations including maintenance, safety, security, inspections, and infrastructure management.
- Manage warehouse and manufacturing/repack teams, ensuring performance against KPIs such as on-time delivery, quality, inventory accuracy, and safety.
- Maintain compliance and continuous improvement, supporting AS9100/AS9120 certification through SOPs, training, and process enhancements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience, with at least 5 years managing operational activities.
- Strong knowledge of ISO9001, AS9100, and AS9120 aerospace quality standards.
- Expertise in shipping systems and regulations, including FedEx, UPS, IATA requirements, air shipments, and hazardous materials handling.
- DOT 49 CFR/IATA Hazmat certification and proficiency in compliance training.
- In-depth understanding of warehouse operations, including receiving, put-away, repack, manufacturing, inventory management, and proven ability to mentor frontline leaders.
