Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Director of Supply Chain to lead and optimize end-to-end supply chain operations for a leading aerospace organization. This role will oversee procurement, planning, logistics, and supplier performance with a strong focus on compliance with aerospace and defense regulations. The ideal candidate will have deep experience managing complex supply chains for aircraft components, systems, and assemblies, and a proven ability to drive operational excellence in a highly regulated environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute supply chain strategies aligned with aerospace industry standards and government regulations.
  • Lead procurement and sourcing activities for critical aerospace components, ensuring compliance with FAR/DFARS, ITAR, and AS9100 requirements.
  • Manage supplier relationships, negotiate long-term agreements, and ensure adherence to quality and delivery standards.
  • Oversee demand planning, inventory control, and production scheduling to support aircraft programs and aftermarket services.
  • Implement risk mitigation strategies for global supply chain disruptions, including dual sourcing and supplier diversification.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives leveraging Lean, Six Sigma, and advanced digital tools.
  • Collaborate with engineering, program management, and operations teams to ensure seamless integration of supply chain processes.
  • Support government audits (CPSR) and maintain compliance with export control regulations.
  • Build and mentor a high-performing supply chain team with expertise in aerospace procurement and logistics.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field (Master's preferred).
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in supply chain management, with at least 5 years in aerospace or defense.
  • Strong knowledge of government contracting, export compliance, and aerospace quality standards.
  • Proven leadership experience managing multi-site or global supply chain operations.
  • Expertise in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle) and advanced analytics tools.
  • Certifications such as CPSM, CSCP, PMP, or AS9100 auditor are a plus.
