Position Title: Electrical / Controls Engineer
Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Electrical / Controls Engineer to join our Engineering and Construction division. This role is ideal for a self-driven problem solver with a passion for designing and implementing new equipment and systems. The successful candidate will contribute to the development, integration, and optimization of electrical systems in manufacturing environments.

- Design and integrate electrical systems into new equipment.
- Research and select components and field devices for manufacturing systems.
- Oversee the manufacturing and installation of electrical equipment and systems.
- Inspect facilities to assess the performance and quality of electrical systems.
- Develop and implement testing methods to ensure system functionality.
- Ensure all electrical products and systems meet customer and regulatory requirements.
- Innovate and improve manufacturing and assembly processes.
- Collect and analyze data to support project reporting and decision-making.
- Collaborate across departments to ensure successful project execution.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during design and implementation.
- Maintain a comprehensive database of products and components.
- Train and supervise technicians to support project goals.
- Stay current with industry trends through professional development and networking.
- Review technical publications to maintain expertise in the field.
- Travel up to 30% as required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience in electrical engineering or a similar role.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD or equivalent CAD software.
- Experience with PLC programming, particularly Siemens TIA Portal and Step 7.
- Familiarity with Siemens hardware, including:
- PLCs (300 and 1500 series)
- Remote I/O systems
- Safety I/O
- S120 & G120 Drive Systems
- Strong technical writing and documentation skills.
- Deep understanding of electronic systems and materials.
- Analytical mindset with creative problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Knowledge of industrial protocols such as HART, PROFINET, and PROFIBUS.
Physical Requirements & Work Environment:
- Must be able to communicate effectively with team members and vendors.
- Ability to remain stationary for extended periods and move throughout office and production areas.
- Must be able to inspect equipment, which may involve climbing, bending, kneeling, or crawling.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
- May work around moving machinery, at heights, in dusty or hot environments, near chemicals, and in loud conditions.
- Must be able to wear appropriate personal protective equipment as needed.
