About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Electrical Design Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for the end-to-end design and development of electromechanical components, with a focus on magnetic field analysis, electromagnetic modeling, and energy conversion systems. You'll collaborate closely with internal teams and external partners to deliver high-performance, manufacturable solutions that meet rigorous customer specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of electrical and mechanical components from concept through production.
- Translate customer requirements into innovative, cost-effective, and manufacturable designs.
- Perform magnetic field mapping, electromagnetic system modeling, and energy conversion analysis.
- Develop and execute test plans, prototypes, and technical documentation.
- Support existing product lines with design updates and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Interface directly with customers to understand technical needs and provide engineering solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth product launches and lifecycle support.
- Utilize 2D/3D CAD tools, FEA, and simulation software to validate designs.
- Prepare and process engineering change notices (ECNs/ECOs) and maintain accurate documentation.
- Contribute to lean engineering practices including A3 problem solving and Kaizen events.
Preferred Skills & Attributes
- Expertise in coil, transformer, and inductor design.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and design for manufacturability.
- Proficiency in CAD, FEA, and simulation tools.
- Ability to interpret and create technical schematics, wiring diagrams, and BOMs.
- Familiarity with statistical analysis and quality tools.
- Excellent communication, time management, and problem-solving skills.
- A proactive mindset with a commitment to continuous improvement.
