Global Sourcing Category Manager (E-Commerce)
Position Overview
The Global Sourcing Category Manager will be responsible for managing sourcing activities for a portfolio of luxury bath products, including tubs, sinks, and related fixtures. This position requires close collaboration with global suppliers and internal teams to ensure cost-effective procurement, timely delivery, and adherence to quality expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Sourcing Strategy: Develop and execute global sourcing strategies for assigned product categories to support business goals, cost targets, and quality benchmarks.
- Supplier Management: Establish and maintain strong relationships with international suppliers and manufacturers to ensure competitive pricing, consistent quality, and dependable delivery.
- Contract Negotiation: Lead negotiations on pricing, terms, and contracts to drive cost savings while maintaining product integrity.
- Category Oversight: Manage sourcing for specific product lines (e.g., tubs, sinks, faucets), ensuring alignment with market trends and customer needs.
- Market Intelligence: Monitor global market trends, raw material costs, and supplier capabilities to inform sourcing decisions and maintain competitiveness.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with product development, marketing, sales, and operations teams to align sourcing strategies with product launches and supply chain requirements.
- Inventory & Demand Planning: Partner with planning teams to ensure optimal inventory levels and avoid stock imbalances.
- Risk & Compliance: Identify and mitigate risks related to global sourcing, including geopolitical, currency, and regulatory challenges.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in global sourcing, supply chain, or category management, preferably in luxury consumer goods or home products.
- Proven success in supplier negotiations, contract management, and global sourcing operations.
- Strong understanding of international trade regulations and supply chain best practices.
- Experience with inventory planning and cost optimization.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.
- Ability to collaborate across departments and manage multiple priorities.
- Experience working with eCommerce platforms such as Amazon, Home Depot, Lowe's, Wayfair, and direct-to-consumer (D2C) websites.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience sourcing luxury or design-focused consumer products.
- Proficiency in ERP or supply chain systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
- Multilingual capabilities for managing international supplier relationships.
- Familiarity with eCommerce platforms and digital retail sourcing strategies.
