A global leader in innovative technology solutions is seeking a Global Trade & Logistics Manager to lead and optimize international logistics and trade compliance operations. This role is critical to ensuring a cost-effective, efficient, and compliant global supply chain.


Position Summary:

The Global Trade & Logistics Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of international product movement, ensuring compliance with global trade regulations, and driving strategic freight initiatives. This role serves as the company's subject matter expert on trade compliance and logistics, managing key relationships and ensuring operational excellence across global supply chain functions.


Essential Functions:

  • Develop and execute global freight strategies to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Serve as the internal expert on international and regional trade compliance, including import/export laws and regulations.
  • Manage relationships with international freight carriers and customs brokers, ensuring performance against KPIs.
  • Review and approve inbound freight quotes (FCL, LCL, air freight).
  • Establish freight options and cost structures for new shipping lanes.
  • Provide expertise on INCO terms, country of origin rules, and customs valuation.
  • Advise on IATA and IMO regulations related to dangerous goods.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for customs audits and regulatory inquiries.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience managing international freight and broker relationships.
  • In-depth knowledge of international and domestic dangerous goods shipping regulations.
  • Experience with the Harmonized Tariff System (HTS), especially for US and EU classifications.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively across all levels of the organization.
  • Strong multitasking skills and ability to perform under pressure.
