The Health Safety Environment and Security Manager will have the following responsibilities:

  • Serve as a core member of the site leadership team, shaping safety strategy and long‑term vision.
  • Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of all EHS programs and management systems.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local safety and environmental regulations.
  • Oversee environmental permitting, regulatory reporting, wastewater treatment operations, and sustainability initiatives.
  • Direct and support local EHS staff, including onsite nurse and safety committees.
  • Develop and deliver safety and environmental training; maintain required documentation and records.
  • Guide incident management processes, including investigations, corrective actions, workers' compensation, and OSHA recordkeeping.
  • Partner with production and leadership teams to identify hazards, reduce risk, and strengthen safety culture.
  • Lead industrial hygiene programs and assess new safety technologies or practices.
  • Manage behavior‑based safety, crisis management, and other companywide safety systems.
  • Support internal and external audits to ensure ongoing compliance across facilities.
  • Act as the primary liaison with regulatory agencies on EHS matters.
  • Contribute EHS support to the on‑site distribution center as needed.

The ideal Health Safety Environment and Security Manager candidate will have the following skillset:

  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of EHS leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong background in developing and implementing safety and environmental programs.
  • Experience conducting safety audits, delivering training, and driving behavioral safety initiatives.
  • Solid understanding of ergonomics, industrial hygiene, and risk‑reduction strategies.
  • Knowledge of workers' compensation processes and OSHA recordkeeping.
  • Experience working across multiple sites or supporting multi‑plant environments is a plus.
  • Familiarity with wastewater treatment operations and environmental compliance requirements.
  • Advanced credentials such as a Master's degree or CSP certification preferred.
