HR Consultant
About the Role
We're seeking a dynamic HR Consultant to support a high-growth, high-volume manufacturing environment. This role is fully onsite at a 1.4 million sq. ft. facility-slated to become the largest of its kind in the U.S.-and supports a workforce of approximately 1,200 hourly and 200 salaried employees.
This is a hands-on, high-impact role ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, enjoys being on the factory floor, and is passionate about building strong teams and culture from the ground up.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a strategic HR partner to plant leadership, supporting a 24/7 manufacturing operation.
- Lead high-volume hourly recruiting efforts, ensuring timely and effective staffing.
- Maintain a strong, visible presence on the factory floor to build trust and engagement.
- Provide guidance on employee relations, performance management, and compliance.
- Support site expansion and startup initiatives, including onboarding and workforce planning.
- Respond to after-hours HR needs as required by plant operations.
- Ensure compliance with employment laws, safety standards, and internal policies.
- Drive HR initiatives that support employee engagement, retention, and operational excellence.
Qualifications
Required:
- 5+ years of generalist HR experience, preferably in a manufacturing setting.
- Proven success in high-volume hourly hiring.
- Experience supporting 24/7 operations and after-hours HR responsibilities.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships across all levels.
- Comfortable working 100% onsite with flexibility as needed.
Preferred:
- Experience with site startups or large-scale plant expansions.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing or continuous improvement environments.
- HR certifications (e.g., SHRM-CP/SCP, PHR/SPHR) a plus.
