Indirect Category Manager
DSJ Global are currently seeking experienced and driven Indirect Procurement professionals on a permanent basis for a leading heavy manufacturer expanding their European operations in Baia Mare.
These newly created roles will sit within the procurement function, supporting the management of indirect categories across the business and contributing to a wider procurement transformation initiative.
This globally recognised supplier to the aerospace sector operates in over 20 countries and is experiencing strong growth across its European footprint. Following the signing of several long-term international contracts, the company is investing in the build-out of its indirect procurement team in Romania, with Category Manager, Team Lead and Operative Buyer opportunities available.

Priority areas for this current hiring phase are Travel, Quality, and IT, so candidates with relevant category experience are strongly encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and lead sourcing activities across one or more indirect categories, with initial focus on Travel, Quality, and/or IT.
Build and execute category strategies that align with both regional and global business needs.
Develop relationships with key stakeholders across departments and geographies, influencing procurement decisions and driving value.
Negotiate contracts and pricing agreements with suppliers, ensuring optimal service levels, compliance, and cost efficiency.
Oversee supplier performance through KPI monitoring, driving continuous improvement and alignment with business objectives.
Collaborate cross-functionally to support procurement centralisation and harmonisation across the European footprint.
Qualifications:
Experience in indirect procurement, strategic sourcing, or category management within a multinational or matrix environment.
Strong category knowledge in Travel, Quality, IT, or other indirect spend areas.
Proven ability to work with diverse stakeholder groups, including technical and senior leadership functions.
Familiarity with ERP systems and procurement tools (e.g., SAP, Coupa) is preferred.
Strong communication and negotiation skills.
Fluency in English is essential; Romanian is a plus but not a requirement.
