Position: Maintenance Manager
Location: Greater Bakersfield Area, California
A manufacturing facility in the Greater Bakersfield area is seeking a skilled and experienced Maintenance Manager to lead its maintenance operations. This role is responsible for overseeing all maintenance processes, ensuring equipment reliability, and minimizing downtime through strategic preventive and predictive maintenance programs. The position also manages facility infrastructure, utilities, and capital projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and direction to the maintenance team, fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Define and implement maintenance workflows and best practices for equipment repair, replacement, and reliability.
- Oversee the maintenance of plant infrastructure, including buildings, utilities, and grounds.
- Manage planning and scheduling of maintenance activities, as well as execution of capital expenditure projects.
- Apply technical expertise in systems such as boilers, steam systems, DC power supplies, and electrochemical processes.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards and process safety management (PSM) requirements.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate clearly across all levels of the organization.
- Utilize analytical tools and root cause analysis to solve problems and drive operational improvements.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in maintenance within a chemical or industrial manufacturing environment.
- At least 3 years of supervisory or managerial experience.
- Strong background in preventive and predictive maintenance, mechanical reliability, and plant utility systems.
- Experience with maintenance planning and scheduling tools and methodologies.
- Working knowledge of OSHA Process Safety Management (PSM) standards and practices.
