Maintenance Supervisor

Job Summary:
The Maintenance Supervisor oversees the day-to-day maintenance operations within a pulp and paper manufacturing facility, ensuring the reliability and efficiency of all plant equipment and systems. This role is responsible for supervising maintenance personnel, coordinating preventive and corrective maintenance activities, managing maintenance schedules, and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and lead a team of maintenance technicians and support staff.

  • Plan, schedule, and coordinate maintenance work to minimize downtime and production disruptions.

  • Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical equipment issues in pulp and paper production systems.

  • Monitor and enforce safety protocols and environmental regulations.

  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, logs, and reports.

  • Assist in budgeting, inventory control, and procurement of maintenance supplies and spare parts.

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and equipment upgrades.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical diploma or degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance preferred.

  • 4+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in pulp and paper.

  • Previous supervisory or leadership experience.

  • Strong knowledge of industrial equipment, hydraulics, pneumatics, and PLC systems.

  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
