About the Opportunity
As a Mechanical Project Engineer, you will play a key role in driving small capital projects, supporting maintenance and operations, and implementing process improvements at a major manufacturing facility. You'll collaborate cross-functionally to enhance safety, quality, and production efficiency, while supporting environmental compliance and plant expansion initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and execute small capital projects and process improvements.
- Support safety and environmental initiatives to protect employees and the environment.
- Perform technical evaluations, calculations, and equipment sizing.
- Analyze plant operations, run trials, and interpret results to drive improvements.
- Develop equipment specifications and oversee safe, effective installations.
- Collaborate with production, maintenance, and engineering teams to solve recurring issues.
- Act as a liaison between production and maintenance functions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical preferred).
- 3+ years of relevant engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong technical, communication, and project management skills.
- Experience leading group meetings and using problem-solving tools.
