Packaging Section Head

Control manufacturing operations within the assigned section to ensure compliance with cGMP and safety standards, achieving quality and packaging targets on time.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily production activities and ensure adherence to schedules.
  • Manage raw material and consumable availability to avoid downtime.
  • Drive execution of new product introductions and process improvements.
  • Monitor quality through in-process checks and compliance with GMP standards.
  • Coordinate maintenance and engineering to minimize machine downtime.
  • Optimize resource utilization, including manpower and packaging materials.
  • Lead cross-functional meetings to improve yield, reduce losses, and enhance efficiency.
  • Ensure audit readiness and handle investigations, deviations, and CAPA.
  • Promote workplace safety and conduct training on SOPs and safety norms.
  • Implement continuous improvement practices for production and packaging.
  • Track machine performance, changeover times, and yield metrics to sustain targets.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Pharmaceutical Manufacturing, Industrial Management, or a related field from an accredited institution (preferred).
  • 4 -7 years of experience in formulation manufacturing within a cGMP pharmaceutical environment.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing procedures, cGMP standards, and systems-related documentation.
