Production Control
The Production Control Supervisor provides leadership and oversight for the production control team, ensuring effective scheduling, material coordination, and workflow monitoring to support continuous and efficient manufacturing operations. This role is responsible for driving operational excellence, maintaining safety standards, and aligning production activities with business goals and customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead safety initiatives by promoting a secure work environment and ensuring compliance with all safety protocols and procedures.
- Supervise the creation and execution of finite production schedules to meet manufacturing targets and customer demands.
- Collaborate with department supervisors and planning teams to monitor workflow, resolve scheduling conflicts, and adjust production plans as needed.
- Coordinate material movement and availability in alignment with production schedules, escalating potential shortages to appropriate stakeholders.
- Utilize SAP and other IT tools to manage production data, track order status, and support documentation for scrap, rework, and execution control.
- Communicate daily production schedules and updates to production departments, ensuring alignment with planning and inventory strategies.
- Analyze production data to identify inefficiencies and implement process improvements through continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support employee development by setting clear expectations, providing coaching, and fostering a high-performance culture.
- Monitor and report on production progress using Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), ensuring timely updates and issue escalation.
- Collaborate with warehouse teams to ensure timely delivery of raw materials and alignment with picking processes.
- Participate in cross-functional initiatives to enhance operational performance and support plant-wide goals.
Requirements:
- 10+ years of experience in manufacturing operations, with a focus on production control and scheduling.
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with SAP/ERP systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage and develop teams.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, solve problems, and make data-driven decisions.
- Experience in continuous improvement methodologies and project participation.
- Familiarity with production routings, capacity balancing, and sequencing in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced setting, adapt to changing priorities, and communicate effectively across departments.
