Production Manager

A leading food manufacturer is looking for a Production Manager to lead operations focused on safety, quality, and continuous improvement. In this role, you will coach and develop a high-performing production team, foster a culture that prioritizes food safety, and ensure compliance with HACCP, GMP, and sanitation standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive a safety-first culture and oversee training systems for engagement and technical proficiency.
  • Manage production to meet budget and EBIT targets; analyze variances and support capex planning.
  • Monitor KPIs, communicate performance, and lead continuous improvement in safety, quality, productivity, and cost.
  • Collaborate with supervisors and operators to identify and implement process improvements.
  • Effectively manage a union workforce and maintain strong relationships.
  • Ensure timely production of high-quality products and adherence to food safety plans.
  • Share best practices with global production teams.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of manufacturing management experience in the food industry.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Food Science, or related field preferred.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of processes such as evaporation, spray drying, and packaging.
  • Familiarity with Kosher, FDA, USDA, OSHA, HACCP, GMP standards.
  • Experience in process optimization, change management, and union workforce leadership.
