Production Supervisor
Position Summary
We are seeking a hands-on and detail-oriented Production Supervisor to oversee daily operations on the production floor. This role is critical in ensuring that production targets are met efficiently, safely, and in compliance with all regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily activities of production staff across multiple shifts.
- Ensure adherence to production schedules, quality standards, and safety protocols.
- Monitor equipment and workflow to identify and resolve issues promptly.
- Train, coach, and evaluate team members to foster a culture of accountability and excellence.
- Maintain accurate production records and report performance metrics to management.
- Collaborate with quality assurance, maintenance, and logistics teams to ensure smooth operations.
- Enforce compliance with HACCP, FDA, USDA, and other food safety regulations.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education in food processing or operations management is a plus.
- 3+ years of supervisory experience in food manufacturing, preferably seafood or protein processing.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Working knowledge of food safety standards and production best practices.
- Ability to work in a cold, wet environment and manage physically demanding tasks.
- Proficiency in production tracking systems and basic computer skills.
