Production Supervisor
Job Summary
The Production Supervisor/Manager will oversee daily operations on the production floor, ensuring that seafood products are processed efficiently, safely, and in compliance with regulatory standards. This role requires strong leadership, attention to detail, and a hands-on approach to managing teams and workflows.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate production activities to meet daily output and quality targets.
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards (HACCP, FDA, USDA, etc.) and company policies.
- Monitor employee performance, provide training, and promote a culture of safety and accountability.
- Collaborate with quality assurance, maintenance, and logistics teams to optimize production flow.
- Maintain accurate production records and generate reports for management.
- Identify areas for process improvement and implement solutions to increase efficiency.
- Manage inventory of raw materials and packaging supplies.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in food manufacturing or seafood processing, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
- Strong understanding of food safety regulations and production best practices.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a cold, wet environment and handle physical demands of the job.
- Proficiency in production software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
