Quality Engineer
Job Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Quality Engineer with expertise in failure analysis to join our client's semiconductor manufacturing team. This role is critical in identifying root causes of product failures, improving yield, and ensuring the highest standards of quality across wafer fabrication and assembly processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in semiconductor devices, materials science, and failure analysis techniques.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform detailed failure analysis on semiconductor devices using techniques such as FIB, SEM, X-ray, and electrical characterization
Investigate field returns, yield excursions, and in-process failures to determine root cause and corrective actions
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including design, process, and reliability engineering to drive continuous improvement
Develop and implement quality control and test protocols to ensure product reliability and compliance
Support customer quality investigations and generate technical reports and documentation
Contribute to FMEA, 8D, and other structured problem-solving methodologies
Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, or related field
3+ years of experience in quality or failure analysis within the semiconductor industry
Proficiency in FA tools and techniques (e.g., SEM, EDX, FTIR, curve tracing)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach
Experience with ISO 9001, IATF 16949, or other quality management systems is a plus
