Senior Director of Supply Chain
DSJ Global working with a client looking to bring on a Sr. Director of Supply Chain to their team in Alexandria, VA! Our client is a leader in the food manufacturing industry looking for a candidate with a strong background in procurement, production planning, inventory management, logistics, and distribution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute long-term supply chain strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Lead and optimize transportation, warehousing, and inventory management functions.
- Align production planning with demand forecasts in collaboration with manufacturing and commercial teams.
- Foster cross-functional collaboration across operations, quality, and finance to ensure supply chain excellence.
- Oversee sourcing strategies for raw materials, packaging, and indirect goods and services.
- Monitor logistics performance metrics and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable food safety and regulatory standards.
- Build and maintain strong supplier relationships to meet quality, cost, and delivery goals.
- Champion continuous improvement initiatives across the supply chain.
- Maintain effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in supply chain or logistics, including at least 3 years in a leadership capacity.
- Experience in food manufacturing or a regulated production environment is strongly preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of supply chain principles, ERP systems, and food safety regulations.
- Demonstrated ability to lead strategic initiatives and drive operational improvements.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal abilities.
- Proven success in managing vendor relationships and cross-functional teams.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
