Global Category Senior Manager - Warehousing & Distribution

Join a fast‑moving, international pharmaceutical organisation operating at significant global scale. This is a senior, high‑impact role where you will shape the global warehousing and distribution category, driving value through market intelligence, strategic sourcing, and procurement excellence across a complex international supply network.

As Global Category Senior Manager, you will sit at the centre of strategic decision‑making-partnering closely with supply chain leaders, logistics providers, and senior stakeholders to optimise cost, performance, and risk across global operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and develop global category strategies for Warehousing & Distribution, underpinned by robust market intelligence and macro‑economic insight
  • Translate strategy into execution by leading complex sourcing and optimisation initiatives with full end‑to‑end ownership
  • Identify and deliver cost optimisation, efficiency, and service‑level improvement opportunities across freight, warehousing, and 3PL networks
  • Build strong, trusted partnerships with internal supply chain stakeholders and critical third‑party logistics providers
  • Drive source‑to‑contract excellence, embedding best practice in supplier segmentation, performance management, sourcing, and contracting
  • Develop advanced analytics and benchmarking to increase cost transparency and support data‑led decision making

Candidate Profile

  • 5-7 years' experience in procurement or category management within an international environment
  • Strong understanding of freight, 3PL markets, and warehousing & distribution operations
  • Proven expertise in pharmaceutical logistics, including freight, warehousing and last‑mile distribution
  • Solid working knowledge of regulatory requirements across multiple countries
  • Degree‑qualified (STEM or Economics preferred)
  • Commercially astute with strong negotiation, stakeholder engagement, and communication skills
  • Highly capable in data and financial analysis, with strong general office and systems literacy
