Sr. Buyer/Planner

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the purchasing of goods and materials to meet operational needs; negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions with suppliers.

  • Forecast demand and manage inventory levels using planning and ERP/MRP tools across multiple locations.

  • Maintain and evaluate supplier relationships; address issues related to quality, delivery, and cost.

  • Use data analytics tools to monitor trends, supplier performance, and inventory metrics; drive continuous improvements.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams such as sales, finance, and operations to ensure purchasing supports business goals.

  • Resolve supply chain disruptions and develop contingency strategies to mitigate risks.

  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance procurement efficiency and cost savings.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain, business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

  • 5+ years of experience in procurement, planning, or supply chain roles, ideally in distribution or logistics.

  • Strong negotiation and supplier management skills.

  • Proficiency in ERP systems; experience with MRP and inventory planning tools.

  • Familiarity with data visualization platforms such as Power BI.

  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

  • Supply chain certification (e.g., APICS or equivalent) preferred.
