Sr. Buyer/Planner
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the purchasing of goods and materials to meet operational needs; negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions with suppliers.
Forecast demand and manage inventory levels using planning and ERP/MRP tools across multiple locations.
Maintain and evaluate supplier relationships; address issues related to quality, delivery, and cost.
Use data analytics tools to monitor trends, supplier performance, and inventory metrics; drive continuous improvements.
Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams such as sales, finance, and operations to ensure purchasing supports business goals.
Resolve supply chain disruptions and develop contingency strategies to mitigate risks.
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance procurement efficiency and cost savings.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in supply chain, business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
5+ years of experience in procurement, planning, or supply chain roles, ideally in distribution or logistics.
Strong negotiation and supplier management skills.
Proficiency in ERP systems; experience with MRP and inventory planning tools.
Familiarity with data visualization platforms such as Power BI.
Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Supply chain certification (e.g., APICS or equivalent) preferred.
