A leading global chemical manufacturer is seeking a Senior Process Improvement Engineer to drive operational excellence, process optimization, and capital project execution at a large-scale manufacturing facility.
This role will partner closely with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, R&D, and EHS teams to improve safety, reliability, productivity, quality, and cost performance across a complex continuous-process operation.
As the Chemical Process Engineer, you will...
- Lead process improvement initiatives from concept through implementation.
- Identify and execute projects to improve safety, production, quality, reliability, and cost.
- Conduct process studies, troubleshooting efforts, and plant trials.
- Support capital projects, including scope development, feasibility evaluations, and commissioning activities.
- Utilize process engineering principles to evaluate and design new systems and process modifications.
- Analyze operating data and apply statistical methods to drive data-based decisions.
- Optimize process controls, reduce variability, and improve overall plant performance.
- Participate in PSM-related activities, including PHA and Management of Change processes.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external engineering, equipment, and contractor partners.
Chemical Process Engineer Preferred Background:
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or related engineering discipline.
- Experience in chemical, chlor-alkali, minerals, specialty chemicals, petrochemicals, or other heavy process manufacturing environments.
- Proven experience leading process improvement or capital projects in a manufacturing setting.
- Familiarity with PSM, MOC, and PHA methodologies.
- Experience leveraging process data and analytics tools to improve plant performance.
- Strong technical problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.
