Job Overview
A medical device manufacturer in the Greater Boston area is seeking a CNC Programmer and Machine Operator to join its precision manufacturing team. This role plays a vital part in producing high-quality components used in life-saving medical technologies. The ideal candidate will be responsible for programming, setting up, and operating CNC machines, ensuring parts meet exact specifications and quality standards.
Requirements
- Program and operate CNC mills, lathes, and other equipment to produce precision parts.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD models.
- Conduct in-process inspections and final part verification using precision measuring tools.
- Perform routine machine maintenance and troubleshoot issues.
- Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to improve manufacturing processes.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety and quality protocols.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience in CNC programming and operation, preferably in a regulated industry.
- Proficiency in G-code and CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Fusion 360).
- Strong understanding of machining principles and materials used in medical device manufacturing.
- Ability to work independently and within a team in a cleanroom or controlled environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification or associate degree preferred.
